An RSS feed is now available for Action Alerts published through the Databank's Advocacy Module. Encourage your super-wonky members to subscribe, or embed the feed into other pages.
The post on RSS Feeds for the Meetings and Events calendar briefly explains what RSS is and how we embedded a feed in our home page.
Another way to use RSS is by subscribing, through an aggregator or reader. Doing this is like creating a customized, online newspaper that shows articles and authors you are interested in. For example, I use Google Reader. I created an account, then chose 20 different blogs and news sources to include in my subscription. This way, I can keep up on international news, nonprofit news and opinion, and even the latest blog post about my friend's baby, by checking just one web page.
Perhaps you have members or allies who would like to subscribe to your action alerts through their RSS reader, in addition to receiving them by email.
